This tape is put on the surface in between the coats of shielding paint to link up the walls and ceiling with shielding paint on them, and ensure a good earth throughout the painted surfaces.
This tape is usually put on just above the skirting and in the corners of the rooms, at the same time the grounding plate can be installed on top of the grounding tape next to a power point in order to obtain an earth. This part should be done by a licensed electrician.
Then the final shielding coat can be applied even over the grounding plate, and afterwards the undercoat and final top coats can be painted.
The tape is only 0.11 mm thick but unfortunately can still be seen sometimes when the painting is finished.
